During his solo graduation rites at Philippine Women’s University yesterday, Boy Abunda, who finished a master’s degree in Communication Arts, cried tears of joy while delivering his speech in front of his beloved mentors and friends both from the academe and show business.
or tumatawa ka. Pero
certainly, yung luha ko kanina ay kaligayahan.
I count my blessings. I am really grateful to so many people,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.
Boy further shared that he wanted to pursue his studies out of his desire to broaden his perspective as an interviewer and to be a better teacher and to be an agent of change through his chosen craft. “I learned the hard way not to believe in your own press releases. I manage over 20 talents. I have four shows on TV, nag-aaral ako…
In fact, Boy’s already planning to go back to teaching this coming school year and to take up a doctorate on Social Development anytime soon. “Sabi nga ng isang
Nobel Peace Prize winner, as a country, if you want to move out of poverty, we have to work on our public school system and public health system.
