Recently, MrBeast caused a stir by claiming he had privately rented out Egypt’s iconic pyramids for 100 hours to film an upcoming video. The revelation, made during his appearance on the Beyond the Records podcast with Noah Lyles, left fans baffled – raising questions about the logistics, costs, and whether such a feat was even possible.

During the podcast, MrBeast stated he hadn’t shot the video yet but had secured full access to the pyramids for an extended period. He described plans to explore hidden chambers and even spend the night inside, explaining, “We got all three of the pyramids of Egypt for 100 hours. I’m gonna do a video where they let me explore anywhere I want.”

He went on to add that he and his friends would have the site “all to ourselves,” making it sound like an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. When asked how he pulled it off, MrBeast mentioned working directly with the Egyptian government to gain special permission.

However, the Egyptian Tourism Ministry has since responded with an official statement – and it turns out things aren’t quite as dramatic as they seemed. The Ministry clarified that while MrBeast did obtain a filming permit, it was strictly limited to periods outside regular visiting hours. The pyramids remained open to the public throughout his time on-site.

The statement further explained that his project is part of a promotional series designed to highlight the beauty of Egypt’s historic landmarks. Additionally, MrBeast was accompanied by archaeologists during the shoot, ensuring respect for the site’s preservation.

So, while MrBeast’s video might still be epic, the idea of him having the pyramids all to himself? Not exactly accurate.
