Rufa Mae Quinto case Posts ₱1.7M Bail for Securities Regulation Code Case

Rufa Mae Quinto case was released from detention after posting bail for 14 counts of alleged violations of the Securities Regulation Code.
Quinto posted a total bail amount of ₱1.7 million before the Pasay City Regional Trial Court, Branch 111, on Thursday, January 9, 2025. This came a day after she voluntarily surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) following the issuance of an arrest warrant against her. She also attended her arraignment on the same day.
Quinto maintained her innocence, claiming she was also a victim in the case involving Dermacare-Beyond Skin Care Solutions, which implicated actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig.
“Wala naman akong kinalaman sa kanila. Hindi ko naman sila na-meet, or nakilala. In fact, ako din, hindi rin nabayaran. Nag-bounce lahat ng cheke. At three months lang po ako na parang ‘yung pumirma ako, tapos first down talbog, second down talbog. So puro bouncing, tapos sabi ‘sorry.’ Kinancel din nila ako as endorser,” ani Quinto.
“So sana ‘yung mga biktima, ‘yun ang hanapin n’yo ‘yung may-ari, kung sino ‘yung kausap nila. Pangalawa, sana i-highlight n’yo kung sino ang kawatan dito, hindi ‘yong porket artista, ikaw na agad ‘yong laging nasa news. Ibig sabihin kailangang malinaw na hindi lang ako, kundi dapat pati mismo ang may-ari ang dapat habulin,” dagdag pa niya.
In September 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued an advisory warning the public about the company, stating that it was not authorized to solicit investments as it was neither registered nor licensed to sell securities.
